The First Step

The first step, I suppose, would be to explain exactly what is going on here.

We are three friends who have begun the journey of opening up a green coffee shop and cafe. Over the past year we have all realized just how passionate we are about doing our own thing. We are all 24 years old, and have all already realized that we were created for more than just grinding out each day in the office. While we understand that there is nothing wrong with this mentality, we realize that we want to do something that we feel is more challenging, and in the end, more rewarding.

The first time we all realized that we do have a passion for this type of business, was April of this year (2007). The three of us visited one of our best friends who was living in New Zealand. While we were there, we drank plenty of coffee, and gained a very small, but important understanding of what it means to enjoy coffee, and to create coffee that people enjoy.

So, over the next year we will be blogging about the road to owning this business and everything it entails. We will tell about the lessons we learn, the hard times, the good times, and everything in-between. Please enjoy reading about our journey... we promise to make it interesting.
